THE IDEA
Timi made some precise choices to create the right "old" atmosphere at "La Capitaine", as if it was the house of a (french) captain who comes back from rough seas (also metaphorically...?) and finally enjoy the cozy atmosphere of her/his own home: so you will not find a shower box, but an old-style bathtub; not a TV, but an old-style radio with cd-player and USB-plug.
If you like these ideas and if you don't care about the absence of a "fast" shower or of a "hypnotic" TV-box, you can light some candles and some 100% natural incenses (carefully selected by Timi), listen to some good music and enjoy the atmosphere in your "home" in Trieste.
SPECS
The apartment is at the 2nd floor, without lift (it's on the 1st floor, seen from the street), with SELF CHECK-IN option.
From 1 to 6 guests:
in the greatest bedroom there is a loft bed with 2 double bed (160cm x 200cm). In the smallest bedroom you find a bed with triple function: 1- single bed (80cm x 200cm), 2- double bed (160cm x 200cm), 3- sofa when closed; however it's not a sofa-bed: it's a comfortable bed.
As the palace is old, the wc-room is really small and separated from the bathroom, but you will see: this situation has not only cons, it also has many pros ;-) Furthermore, Maja provided to make pretty and comfortable even such a small room: you will see!
The flat is bright, the kitchen is quite large, so more persons can eat there without claustrophobia problems.

In the kitchen you don't find a dishwasher, but you have a washer-dryer machine, so you can relax about the poor number of clean t-shirts still remaining in your luggage.
The apartment has also wi-fi, as well as air-conditioning, but probably you will not need to use it, because the old palace, with thick walls, preserve you from summer heat (and the environment will thank you).
SELF CHECK-IN
Doing SELF CHECK-IN the guest doesn't need any App: only a smartphone or an other item with internet connection; then goes in a specific website and types the code received from the host via SMS, WhatsApp, mail or whatever else. Done!

However, self check-in it's not mandatory ;-) : it's only one of the amenities offered you in La Capitaine!
